Projecten
De projecten die de laatste twee jaar gegund zijn, zijn kort beschreven in het Engelstalige gedeelte, hieronder.
In 1988, the Anne Fransen Fund was founded by the Dutch Consumers’ Organization. Anne Fransen was the first director of Consumentenbond from 1964 untill her death in 1981. She organised the first step in growth for the organization.
The Anne Fransen Fund’s mission is to establish and reinforce the position of consumers in developing countries and transitional economies, through the implementation of the eight consumers’ rights.
The fund is made up of contributions from members of Consumentenbond. Since 1981, over €700,000 has been invested by the Anne Fransen Fund.
As the Anne Fransen Fund has no overhead or personnel costs all funds – totalling about €60,000/ year – go directly to the selected projects.
The Anne Fransen Fund offers financial support to all kinds of consumers’ projects, with a preference to those focussing on institution building and specific campaign activities.
The following criteria will be applied to all applications submitted to the Anne Fransen Fund:
- The submitting organisation must be a full or affiliate member of Consumers International.
- A maximum grant value of €10.000 per project.
- A maximum duration of 1 year.
- Proposals must be presented in English, Spanish or French following the application format* provided (please note that for applications in Spanish and French an Executive Summary must be provided in English).

All applications should be supported by the appropriate Consumers International office.
